Eternity Rings FAQ's

What is the difference between a Full Eternity Ring and Half Eternity Ring?

The main difference between a full eternity ring and a half eternity ring is how far the gemstones extend around the band. A full eternity ring features gemstones set all the way around the entire ring, creating continuous sparkle from every angle. This style symbolises everlasting love and is often chosen for its luxurious, statement finish.

A half eternity ring, by contrast, has gemstones set across the top half of the band only. This design offers the same elegant appearance from the front while providing greater comfort and practicality for everyday wear, because they require fewer gemstones, are often a more affordable option while still delivering timeless beauty and brilliance. Half eternity rings are often the popular choice for stacking alongside engagement and wedding rings.

Both styles are timeless and beautiful; the choice comes down to personal preference, lifestyle, budget and how you plan to wear your eternity ring.

What does an Eternity Ring symbolise?

An eternity ring symbolises love and commitment. Traditionally, the continuous band of gemstones represents an unbroken circle, signifying love that has no beginning or end. Eternity rings are often gifted to mark meaningful milestones such as anniversaries, weddings, the birth of a child, or other special moments in a relationship.

Beyond romantic love, an eternity ring can also represent personal achievements, family bonds, or lifelong memories, making it a deeply personal piece of jewellery. Whether set with diamonds, coloured and birthstone gemstones each stone adds to the story and sentiment behind the ring.

Timeless and meaningful, an eternity ring is designed to be worn every day as a lasting reminder of love, celebration, and sentimental moments, making it a popular choice in fine jewellery collections.

When do you traditionally buy and gift and Eternity Ring?

An eternity ring is traditionally gifted to mark a significant milestone or special moment in a relationship. Most commonly, eternity rings are given to celebrate wedding anniversaries, particularly landmark years such as the first, fifth, or tenth anniversary, symbolising enduring love and commitment.

They are also often gifted to commemorate the birth of a child, representing the continuation of love and family. In addition, eternity rings are chosen for milestone birthdays, vow renewals, or personal achievements, making them a meaningful and lasting gift.

While rooted in tradition, modern eternity rings are increasingly purchased simply as a celebration of love, style, or personal significance. Whether given as a romantic gesture or a self-purchase, an eternity ring is a timeless piece of fine jewellery designed to be worn and
treasured for years to come

How to style an Eternity Ring?

An eternity ring is a versatile piece of fine jewellery that can be styled in a variety of timeless and modern ways. Traditionally, it is worn alongside a wedding band and engagement ring, adding extra sparkle and creating a beautifully stacked look. Eternity rings sit comfortably either above or below the wedding ring, depending on personal preference.

For a contemporary approach, eternity rings are perfect for stacking. Pair a diamond eternity ring with other plain gold or gemstone bands to create a personalised stack that reflects your style. Mixing metals, textures, or gemstone colours can add interest while keeping the look stylish.

An eternity ring can also be worn on its own as a statement piece, offering understated elegance for everyday wear. Whether styled simply or stacked, eternity rings are designed to complement both casual and occasion looks effortlessly.
